we document – we educate – we interact
Post Bellum and The Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies, in cooperation with the Slovak local partner, ngo organisation EDAH, have prepared a project that will commemorate Second World War (WWII) in various ways.
We place our main emphasis on the stories of real people who survived the war and on the stories of the 2nd generation Holocaust survivors. Through them, we will point out how war has affected society and how our past can determine the future. If we don’t learn from it.
On this website you will find information about the project and its outputs:
- stories of the 20th century from Slovakia and Norway,
- short films with the narrative of witnesses,
- information and registrations for an interdisciplinary experiential conference for students of universities and educators,
- information about exhibition named History defines our future
The project lasts until April 2024 and you can see our work in the news.
The project named HISTORY DEFINES OUR FUTURE is implemented within the framework of the programme “Entrepreneurship in the field of culture, cultural heritage and cultural cooperation” co-financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2014-2021 and the state budget of the Slovak Republic. The programme manager is the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic.
